Many companies, even small businesses are starting to offer video overviews of their products on websites like YouTube, Google Video, Revver and more.
For example take a look at reseller Vibrant Technologies. They sell used IT hardware like servers storage and networking equipments. They’ve posted videos on Google Video on “Used Servers” and “Used Cisco” showing off their refurbished products. Pyro is a new desktop environment for Linux built on Mozilla Firefox, which tries to integrate the Web and modern desktop computing.
The entire computer screen is redrawn as a Web Page, using Firefox. Basically Pyro acts as a windows manager which displays Web content as well as other applications. It use Window compositing - the latest Linux technology.
Dell had earlier introduced Linux desktops in USA and now these desktops will be available internationally. This will announced at Linuxworld in August 2007.
They also plan to offer Ubuntu Linux desktops to small business customers in USA
Microsoft Brings IM to Linux Desktop - Microsoft will its license instant messaging and digital media technology to desktop Linux distributor Linspire.
